Why I Became a Chiropractor
Hello, my name is Dr. James Redondo, and I am a chiropractor practicing in Bayonne, N. J. First, I’d like to thank you for visiting our website. The fact that you are here, means that you are looking for help. Before we talk about how chiropractic and nutrition can help you, I would like to tell you my story.
When I was 22 years old, I was hurt playing a friendly game of tackle football. To make a long story short, I was grabbed by my head and tackled down to the ground. While I was driving home after the game, I realized that I couldn’t turn my head in any direction. As time went on, the pain increased, and I started having excruciating migraines. Of course, I then followed the usual recommendations for pain relief, which I’m sure you have done at some point in your life as well. I relied heavily upon ibuprofen, prescription pain killers, muscle relaxers, and heat to try and ease the intense pain I was experiencing. When nothing seemed to be working, I decided to go back and see the Chiropractor, who helped me out of pain years before. Could he possibly help me again? I didn’t know for sure, but I needed to give it a try. I was in desperate need to find something that would eliminate the pain that so immensely affected my quality of life.
After receiving several adjustments from the chiropractor, I began to improve. I regained my full range of motion, and the headaches were gone. I had gotten my life back. To say the least, I was extremely impressed with my chiropractic result. Soon after this experience, I did some research and decided to take a trip down to one of the top Chiropractic colleges in the country, Life University, in Marietta, Georgia.
By just visiting the chiropractic campus of Life University and talking with the students and staff there, I realized that being a chiropractor is what I was meant to do. Though I already knew how chiropractic had helped me, I learned through my chiropractic education just how far reaching the chiropractic adjustment can be for whole body health– not merely pain relief.
As a student, I became actively involved in the Gonstead System of Chiropractic, which is considered to be the gold standard in Chiropractic techniques. I served as President and Sergeant of arms of Sherman College’s Gonstead Study Club.
Upon graduation, I returned back to Bayonne in July of 2007 and opened the Redondo Family Chiropractic Center. Each day at the office brings a new success story. Through both chiropractic care and nutritional counseling, my mission is to continue listening to the needs, goals and success stories of all of my patients.
